Green Hat announces forthcoming support for JMS, IBM MQ Series and SmartSockets in GH Tester

"We've had great feedback from our TIBCO customers about how useful the product is, and now we want the rest of the middleware community to benefit", commented Product Manager, John Chewter. "Many of our customers have a variety of middleware solutions deployed, and adding support for JMS and IBM MQ Series will increase the appeal of the tool to other teams in their organisations."

The new version will provide more intuitive controls for manipulating messages and make it quicker and easier for users to transfer information to and from the application, and between its various windows by enabling use of the clipboard. The user interface has been transformed.

So far the tool has been tested against several JMS implementations, including TIBCO's Enterprise for JMS (E4JMS).

The tool includes wide support for databases. Additionally, users will be able to write modules for their own protocols to plug-in and use alongside factory provided protocols. Green Hat plans to release SOAP and HTTP modules later in 2004, including native support for XML schemas.

JMS and IBM MQ Series support will become available in release 3 of the product, expected in early Q3 2004.
