Green Hat Records Best Year Ever
London, England and Claymont, Delaware 25 January 2010 Green Hat today reported that 2009 was its most successful year to date, fuelled by strong demand for its fifth generation of automated quality management solutions for SOA and composite applications introduced in the first quarter.
Global 2000 companies manage processes with complex infrastructures and third party relationships. By simplifying quality assurance for multiple technologies and managing growing dependencies outside the organization, Green Hat redefined the testing and compliance effort.
“When customers did their due diligence, they saw the Green Hat difference. They could set up and run regression testing in minutes for SOA platforms and industry specific interfaces. It enabled them to recognize Green Hat testing solutions as a business growth investment because we offer an innovative way to bring their changes to the market,” said Peter Cole, President and CTO of Green Hat.
The new GH Tester 5, launched in March 2009, made it possible for customers to spend a shorter amount of time on quality assurance, yet be more thorough and more sophisticated. Innovations included the first coverage reports for SOA testing and a pictorial way of users defining their infrastructure. Customers optimized test execution with data parameterization and continuous integration testing, simulated services and interfaces for scenario testing, the cloud and virtualization.
GH Performance, Green Hat’s extensive performance testing offering for message based testing, was a key component of the increase in sales. Cole said “The cost of system failure in terms of revenue loss and public reputation is just too great, making performance testing a “must do”. Traditional tools require a lot of code to do performance testing and do not understand the nuances of the protocols involved, especially those used with secure endpoints. Our products can test these systems and simulate them in a few mouse clicks. Customers are surprised at how easy this is compared to what they are used to."
Green Hat signed new customers across the globe including Vodafone, T-Mobile, Barclays, Bunge, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, Prorail, Adesa and CSC. Repeat orders from JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, BP, O2, Virgin Mobile, Telstra and systems integration partners in multiple regions completed the record year for Green Hat.
Partnerships have played a strong role in the year, with Green Hat adopted as a testing solution at Software AG and TIBCO and support added for SAP and Oracle during the year. Green Hat extended the integration and SOA testing offerings of a wide range of Systems Integrators and testing services firms.
Looking ahead to 2010, Green Hat is optimistic. Cole said “In 2009, partners, customers and analysts recognized the completeness of our testing and SOA vision, our industry leadership and our responsiveness. We will extend that lead in 2010.”
